The Analysis
This post will describe, by video and by a marked-up and posted chart, what I think could happen with MNQH25 in the next few months, given the weekly charts that ended on Friday, December 20, 2024. The video runs a little long and there are carefully managed errors like I used to make when I did radio about 10 years ago for BizRadio Network. That might be the only entertaining part of the video, but I do think it helps to clear up what I establish as key price targets and key price support levels.
Here is the marked up chart:
If a measured AB=CD move happens for MNQH25, the target would likely be 23995.50. There is a ton of Fibonacci level confluence under that price, as I discuss in the video. Those green boxes indicate those nearby areas. Support may be found at 17869.50, but it institutional holders do not retain their positions there, we could have an even more serious correction on hand.
Bravos Research (which I do not endorse or use) has a discussion about such levels here.
The time line for the video is as follows:
Introduction and basic explanation of how Fibonacci retracement price and extension levels were established: 0:00
Discussion about a potential weekly pivot begins 4:30
Discussion of the marked-up chart: 06:42
Wrap of of chart discussion and a brief note about future writing in the Buffalo Trader: roughly 11:20 onward.
The Future of Buffalo Trader’s Writing Desk
What is coming in the future? I will be writing a critique about Bitcoin called “Of Bullshit and Bitcoin” in which I will discuss what is driving and what could be the end game for what is being called “digital gold”. It is not a mud throwing event or some kind of hit piece. It is instead a real discussion about what happened to Bitcoin (BTC) and how it ceased to be the vision that Satoshi Nakamoto had for a private and nearly frictionless mode of money exchange to the so-called “store of value” that it is supposedly now. There is more behind the scenes than even the most rabid “crypto-bros” understand, and it could have serious repercussions for the world and the U.S. economy, perhaps for good or for bad. I have learned a lot during the time I have been digging around in the information. When even Roger Ver, one of the original acolytes of BTC, now questions this break from Satoshi’s vision, one probably should listen. Why is he facing potential prison time now?
If you want to hear that discussion, go to this Spotify link and listen to the podcast.
I am also going to throw up the subscription “firewall” on this blog right after January 1, 2025, but ALL of it will still be free until I gauge reaction to this write-up. It will probably still remain free until I gauge reaction. I used to write in-depth stuff for the defunct Mr. Swing trading blog and it was always the most popular thing on that website. For a time, I got paid for it, but as the owner began to lose interest in keeping the website going, all of that ended. I did five years of what I considered outstanding analysis on BizRadio Network gratis (for free), and doing that got the programming I helped to co-host a few days a week to Number 2 on the old iTunes podcast hot list. I do not have the database capabilities to do that kind of analysis on all U.S. stocks, ETFs and mutual funds any longer, but I can write on financial topics that are hot items or of general interest.
My technical and fundamental analysis we well worth paying for back then, I simply chose to teach others than to charge a fee. There is one individual who still does neural net analysis out there that I think is inferior to what I used to do and gets probably $500/month per subscriber.
My point is not to charge anyone $500 a month or $500 a year for analysis. I want to get paid to 1) pay for research and 2) to provide income commensurate with personal effort and value to readers. As I am closing out private investments, working on real estate projects, and working on other income-related projects, I would like to keep all time I invest into projects bringing in revenue. A subscriber list of 1000 people pulling in $8 a month would certainly help me do that, but again, the question is whether or not I could deliver on a value basis that kind of a subscription base at that price?
Unlike Doomberg, someone whom I read regularly, I have a cracked (notice I didn’t say crack) research staff of one, me. That one person is involved in a ton of things also, so I have to parse my time out wisely. You can help me to determine that by commenting on the coming posts and to like, hate, or otherwise comment on them.
That is basically where I am headed at the moment. As always, thank you for supporting The Buffalo Trader’s Writing Desk throughout 2024! I want to wish everyone of you out there a Happy Hanukkah, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year 2025! Have fun everyone. I shall return soon.
